A Year to go
• Work out your total wedding budget with your fiancé and decide where you’d like to allocate most of your cash. This is also the time to set a date to consider the type of wedding you both want – a large and small, religious or civil, at home or abroad.
• Draw up your guest list. Determine how many guests you can invite by writing down all the must-includes and then split the remainder between the two families and each other.
• Choose your best man and ushers.
• Buy your rings.
• Book the honeymoon.
6 Months and counting
• Organise your wedding day transport
• Choose outfits for yourself, your best man and your ushers.
Only 3 Months
• Book your first night.
• Finalise your honeymoon plans
1 Month to go
• Enjoy a fantastic stag night!
1 Week to go
• Collect your outfits
• Visit the hairdresser’s for a trim
• Pack for your honeymoon
On The Day
• Get up in time to eat breakfast – you don’t want to feel faint in the church.
• Double check with your best man that he has the allimportant rings.
• Leave the house with time to spare – this is one day when no one, least of all your bride, will thank you
for being late!
• Finally, remember to relax and enjoy your special day Other Duties
• Make sure all the bills are settled: rings, ceremony, choir, marriage licence or certificate, flowers, cars, reception, photographer, any hired outfits, and the honeymoon.
